A Climb To The Inari Taisha Shrine In Kyoto

Hey all!

Today, we're in Kyoto as part of our two-week adventure in Japan! After arriving at the train station, we grabbed some food and headed to the Inari Taisha Shrine. This is one of Kyoto's must-see attractions, featuring a long, winding path lined with numerous Tori gates and ancient shrines. It's a picturesque hike, but not for the faint-hearted, especially in the intense Japanese heat of late May. As always, with this being more of a photo-genic report, I will let the pictures do the talking!

I have always been amazed by the architecture in Japan from ancient times.

Our Climb Begins

The Row of gates seems to go on forever

Its almost like a mirage of red

The walk feels like a spiritual journey

We are almost to the top!

We are finally at the summit! Only 12,000 steps one way...
