A Daytime Walk Down Tilson Street!
Hey all!
Spooky Season has officially arrived, and today we’re heading out to explore one of Michigan’s most legendary Halloween spots: Tillson Street in Romeo... in broad daylight!
If you've never heard of Tillson Street, this small-town neighborhood transforms every October into a full-scale seasonal attraction. Nearly every house along the strip goes all-out with over-the-top, immersive Halloween decorations. It's essentially the residential equivalent of Halloween Horror Nights, HalloWeekends, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party rolled into one continuous street—just without the pop-up scare actors jumping out at you!
While the displays are famous for their dramatic lighting and nighttime atmosphere, we’re doing things a little differently today. Reg isn't the biggest fan of spooky vibes after dark, so we’re taking advantage of the sunshine to appreciate all the detailed craftsmanship while there’s still plenty of daylight.
Exploring by day lets you catch incredible details you might miss at night, including:
Elaborate Themed Displays: Houses fully transformed into sprawling ghost ships, haunted abandoned hotels, and elaborate skeletal scenes.
Neighborhood Spirit: Decades of tradition where neighbors collaborate to create continuous story arcs across adjoining lawns.
Seasonal Humor: A mix of classic horror homages, whimsical autumnal decor, and political signs for the upcoming election... which might just be the scariest display of them all? (Basically, They had no decor)
With perfect autumn weather and the daylight on our side, let's jump right into this daytime photo report!

Happy Halloween and Thanks For Reading!
As Always, Keep On Coast 'N'
