A Great Brew At The Sapporo Brewery

Hello all!

Today, we are at the Sapporo Brewery on Hokkaido, Japan's captivating northernmost island. This visit includes tastings of alcoholic beverages, making it ideal for individuals aged 21 and older (or 20 in Japan). We arrived in Sapporo this morning and utilized our free time before boarding our next train to Furano. With the Sapporo Brewery conveniently located near the train station, we took the opportunity to explore their intriguing museum, enjoy some beverages in their tasting room, and savor a delightful lunch at their Beer Hall.

Upon approaching the brewery, you will be impressed by its remarkable architecture, reminiscent of a bygone era. Inside, the museum offers engaging displays that detail the rich history of the Sapporo Brewing facility, featuring fascinating artifacts from that period. After exploring the museum, we proceeded to the tasting room to sample Sapporo beers directly from the tap, including exclusive brews unavailable elsewhere.

Following our tasting experience, we enjoyed the unlimited food and beverage option at their vibrant beer hall. Imagine indulging in a variety of dishes and drinks for a full 90 minutes! A word of advice: drink responsibly and pace yourself, as the wide array of options can be tempting—we certainly learned that lesson!

Overall, the Sapporo Brewery is a must-visit destination if you find yourself on the picturesque north island of Hokkaido, particularly if you have an interest in breweries.
