Today, we made a stop in Des Moines, Iowa, to dine at The Zombie Burger + Drink Lab! Due to a line at the dining room and our plans for a brief visit en route to Adventureland, we opted for the quick service dining area. It’s important to note that this section offers most of the same menu items as the dining room.
A Horror Movie Lover's Paradise!
Enthusiasts of horror or monster movies will appreciate the extensive decor featuring these themes on the walls. It also extends to their menu offerings! The establishment is celebrated for its creatively themed monster burgers and handcrafted shakes, some of which include alcohol.
I chose to sample the S'mores shake and the Cremator Burger. The S'mores shake was made with chocolate ice cream, graham cracker, and marshmallow cream. It resulted in a creamy and flavorful treat! The Cremator Burger featured ghost pepper cheese, onion rings, fried jalapeños, chipotle mayo, and house hot sauce. It had a spicy kick, but the beef was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were well-balanced.
Overall, if you are a fan of horror and monster movies and seek a place with excellent burgers, Zombie Burger is worth a visit!
