Kentucky Kingdom Announces 2 Reimagined Lands And Midnight Showdown For 2027 Season!
Kentucky Kingdom just dropped some major news regarding their expansion plans for the 2027 season!Headlining the announcement is Midnight Showdown, which will claim the title of the world's largest indoor wooden roller coaster. Standing three stories tall with 1,130 feet of track, the ride will feature 11 thrilling airtime moments and occupy the space formerly home to the 4D Theater and the StarChaser roller coaster.The park is also continuing its overall makeover by re-theming the front entrance into two distinct lands: Bluegrass Downs, themed after Kentucky’s rich horse racing heritage, and Happy Valley Farm, a complete overhaul of the area surrounding the Flying Fox coaster. As part of the transformation, Lightning Run will be renamed Stampede Run, alongside several other attraction name changes.We look forward to experiencing these exciting additions when they debut in 2027!
