Hey all!
Today, we're reviewing the dining experience at Mythos in Islands of Adventure. Over the years, many visitors have praised this restaurant as the best theme park eatery or the top choice within Universal Orlando Resort. We're here to explore that claim! Located in the Lost Continent section of the park, it remains the last major attraction in this area. Let's get started! Upon entering the restaurant, it feels like you've been transported into a cave with mythological elements. We were seated near the center of the restaurant. Mythos features an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work and includes water features inside. If you manage to get a window seat, you can enjoy a lovely view of the lagoon at Islands of Adventure. We began with an appetizer, selecting the Spanakopita Dip. This savory blend of spinach, feta cheese, lemon, and fresh herbs is served hot with fresh pita chips seasoned with za'atar spice, accompanied by fresh cucumber, tomato, and olives. It was delicious and perfect after a long day of walking around the park. For our main course, we both had the Sea Scallop & Wild Mushroom Risotto, which included sea scallops, oyster mushrooms, shiitake, pancetta, fried sage, and was topped with a parmesan chip. Having visited many Disney dining establishments over the years, I think for the value of the food (for theme park food) and the fact it tasted like it was out of a culinary kitchen, I would say this is easily the best restaurant at Islands of Adventure. As for all of the theme parks, I would have to say I disagree. There is better food I've had at other parks. However, for the value of an in-park restaurant, it was pretty good!
