SeaWorld San Antonio has announced plans to introduce Barracuda Strike, the first inverted family roller coaster in Texas.

This attraction, scheduled to open in the spring of 2026, will suspend riders beneath 1,800 feet of track, offering high-speed experiences, intense drops, and the feeling of soaring above the park's water ski lake.

"Barracuda Strike represents a significant advancement in family thrill rides, and we are thrilled to offer our guests another exceptional roller coaster in the spring of 2026," stated Jeff Davis, President of SeaWorld San Antonio.

The coaster is anticipated to reach speeds of up to 44 miles per hour and will feature a 90-foot lift hill. According to the release, its design draws inspiration from the speed and agility of a barracuda.

With a minimum height requirement of 42 inches, Barracuda Strike is sure to appeal to a broad range of ages.
