The Yeti Audio Animatronic Comes Back To Life In Expedition Everest At Animal Kingdom!

Disney has officially announced at a D23 fan event that the iconic Yeti inside Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom is finally being fixed and restored to its original glory!

For years, the massive animatronic has been stuck running in "B-Mode"—where the figure remains stationary while strobe lights create the illusion of movement. In its original operating days, the powerful beast would violently swing its arm to swipe at passing trains. Because of the ride's complex internal structure and limited accessibility, repairing the animatronic has long been considered a monumental engineering challenge, fueling decades of fan rumors.

Regardless of past hurdles, the fully restored Yeti will feature enhanced effects, bringing back the legendary fear factor to the Forbidden Mountain!
