45th Parallel Cafe

Hey All!

Today we are exploring Suttons Bay and dining at the 45th Parallel Cafe! This cozy spot is well-known for its bakery and breakfast items. Because space inside is limited, most of the seating is outdoors, so we grabbed an outside table to enjoy the fresh air.

The service was a bit all over the place, and it took a while to flag down a server to place our breakfast order. Once we looked over the menu, most of our party went with the Huevos Rancheros—three eggs cooked your way with sautéed onions, jalapeños, and spicy chorizo sausage piled high on grilled flour tortillas with house-made salsa. Reg decided on the Classic Western Omelette, stuffed with hickory-smoked ham, green peppers, sweet onion, and cheddar cheese.

As for the food? The Huevos Rancheros were just okay and couldn't quite compare to what you get down south, plus the eggs were a bit too dry. However, Reg’s omelette was pretty good and packed with solid flavor.

Overall, between the lagging service and average food, we aren't sure we'd rush back to return here. Of course, you might have a different experience, so feel free to give it a try for yourself!
