Hey all!
Join us today for an outstanding dining experience at Aspen in Macomb, Michigan!
If you haven't been yet, Aspen offers a wonderful selection of comfort foods in a cozy, ski-lodge-themed setting. Their menu is filled with choices, from game-inspired dishes to hearty pastas, steaks, and more.
To start, we ordered drinks: a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and an Island Dream Mocktail made with orange juice, pineapple juice, piña colada, and soda. It was incredibly fruity and delicious! We also shared the Cheesy Garlic Bread appetizer—hand-tossed crust with garlic butter and a four-cheese blend, served with marinara. You could really taste the rich garlic butter, making it the perfect bite to enjoy before our meal. For the soup, Tay chose the French Onion Soup. While the broth lacked a bit of depth in flavor, the melted cheese on top was absolutely perfect
.
Moving on to the entrées:
Chicken Parmesan: Breaded chicken breast served over angel hair pasta, topped with marinara and mozzarella cheese. It had a slightly unique tomato paste flavor that took a couple of bites to get used to, but overall, it complemented the cheese and pasta nicely.
Bronzed Salmon Salad: Loaded with Cajun-spiced salmon, mixed greens, avocado, diced tomatoes, bleu cheese, cucumbers, and red onion. The salmon was cooked to perfection, making it easily one of the best salads we’ve had!
Overall, we highly recommend Aspen for its incredible atmosphere, and the food is an excellent choice if you're looking for great comfort food. Check out photos from our dining experience below!
