Welcome to Kentucky Kingdom! Today, we’re back at Kentucky’s premier theme park to explore all the sweeping park improvements implemented under Herschend Family Entertainment's ownership and take our very first spin on the park's newest addition for the 2026 season: Flying Fox!

It’s been over a decade since our last visit, and we are thrilled to rediscover how the park has evolved. Beyond checking out the fresh updates and upgraded park grounds, we're eager to jump back on the world-class thrillers we've missed, including the intense Hyper-GTX coaster Lightning Run and the soaring Wind Chaser.

Come along with us as we spend the day exploring the park, testing out the incredible ride lineup, and experiencing everything this updated destination has to offer!

The Park Is Odd Being Split By A Road Down The Middle.....

We Found The Flying Fox!

This Is An Excellent Family Rollercoaster W/ Great Swooping Turns!

The Surrounding Area Has Nice Thematic Touches As Well

The Park Is In A Odd Identity Crises At The Moment... Especially From Six Flags, Private Ownership, and Noe Herschend.

They Do Have Cinnamon Bread Though.... Which Make Up For It!

I Ended Up Getting The Bourbon Icing, Which Was Very Good!

Next Was Lighting Run!

This Is From Outside The Park, However, It Gives A Good View Of The Layout. It's A Must Ride And Gives The Best Airtime In The Park!

We Now Head To The Other side Of The Park. Before we Do Though, Check Out This Cool Looking Carousel!

You Can Either Cross The Road Or Take A Bridge

Next Up... The Kentucky Flyer!

This Is A Family Wooden Rollercoaster Hidden From Most Of The Park

It's A Fun Ride With Decent Pops Of Airtime

This Side Of The Park Is Mostly Waterpark, With Rides Show-Horned Around The Waterslides

Hollyhock & Roll is the Parks Kids Rollercoaster. We Decided To Do It To Get Some Meta-Glasses Footage. Its A Gentle Family Ride

You also Get To Ride In A Sneaker!

Next Was Woodland Run (Previously Known As Thunder Run)

This Area Of the Park Did A Significant Glow Up. Look At The Shiny New Sign!

And.... It's Rough. Woodland Run Is Bascially Hurler With A Mini Air Time Hill After The Drop

We Love The Color Pallet On The Buildings!

You Will Find A Majority Of The Flat Rides In Discovery Meadows

Last... But Not Least... Is Wind Chaser (Previously Storm Chaser)

This Is A RMC Hybrid Rollercoaster That Has A Bit Of Airtime, Overbanked Turns, And Inversions. Also... It's A Plane!

Overall, Wind Chaser is a Solid Ride!

We Now Make Our Way Back Up To The Front Of The Park

That'll Conclude Our Visit!
