My Chemical Romance: The Black Parade 2026 Tour

Hey all!

Tonight, we caught My Chemical Romance at Comerica Park in Detroit for their sold-out Black Parade 2026 Tour. Between waiting to get into the packed venue and spending 45 minutes in line for merch, we unfortunately missed the opener, Iggy Pop, though they sounded pretty good from what we could hear while trapped in the queue. Before MCR took the stage, the big scoreboard flashed announcements telling "prisoners to step forward" in both English and MCR's fictional language, Keposhka. When the band finally appeared, they opened with the "Dragg National Anthem" before launching straight into "Dead!"

The entire show was packed with incredible theatrics that told the story of The Black Parade, featuring wild gags, fake executions, and psychedelic backing visuals that fit the vibe perfectly. Of course, the absolute highlight was hearing "Welcome to the Black Parade" live and feeling the electric energy of the crowd. After finishing the main parade sequence, they transitioned to a B-stage in the middle of the stadium to play tracks like "Na Na Na" and "Teenagers" alongside a few great deep cuts. While Gerard Way's vocals aren't quite what they used to be, the passionate fans sang along so loudly that it hardly mattered. Overall, the sheer production quality makes this an absolute must-see concert just for the incredible spectacle they put on!
