The Kesha Freedom Tour

Hey all!

This evening, we're at Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, MI, attending the Kesha Freedom tour with lawn seats alongside a few friends. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this concert beforehand. Honestly, I can't say we enjoyed it. The stormy weather didn't help, and with Sizzy Rocket opening the show, the music was quite provocative, making it uncomfortable. We try to keep everything PG-13 on this blog, but the opener was far beyond that. So, if you're curious about her catalog, look it up with caution. The second opener, Chromeo, had a nice techno beat and actually put on a decent performance. We didn't know any of his music, but he delivered a good show. Now, Kesha... her performance was quite questionable. We were aware of her music style and expected her sets to be provocative, but honestly, that wasn't the issue. Throughout most of the concert, it felt like there was more talking than singing, with little effort put into actually performing the songs. Also, the crowd was unbearable. There was apparently a planned teen takeover at this concert, with many underage attendees sneaking in liquor in their boots. So, there were a lot of intoxicated teens, one of whom threatened to fight us after we asked them to please move off our blanket. Long story short, we couldn't stay for the entire concert because of how bad it got. Overall, if you're over the age of 25, you're likely to feel very uncomfortable at this concert.
