Here are the theme parks that can be easily reached within a weekend from New York New York. (Note All This Travel Is By Car And Not Public Transit)

Residing in New York City or its nearby northern suburbs means that traveling to Luna Park and Deno's Wonder Wheel Park can take between 35 minutes to 1 hour from the heart of Times Square. To make the most of your visit to Luna Park and Deno's Wonder Wheel Park, it is recommended to allocate 4 hours to experience all the attractions and enjoy the boardwalk.


You will need to take I-487 to I-278 W, then merge onto the Belt Parkway. Take Exit 6 on the Belt Parkway to Leif Ericson Drive, then proceed to Shore Parkway. After that, turn onto Cropsey Ave to W 17th St, and finally to Surf Ave.

Living in New York City or its nearby northern suburbs means that traveling to Nickelodeon Universe can take between 15 to 30 minutes from the center of Times Square. To fully enjoy your visit to Nickelodeon Universe, it is advised to set aside 1 and a half hours to experience all the attractions at Nickelodeon Universe, and 4 hours to explore some of the other attractions at the American Dream Mall.


You will need to take NJ-495 W and NJ-3 W to East Rutherford. Take the NJ-120 N Exit from NJ-3 W and then follow E Peripheral Rd to the American Dream Mall.

To fully enjoy your visit to Six Flags Great Adventure, it is advised to set aside 6 to 8 hours to experience all the attractions at Six Flags Great Adventure.


For The Quickest Route, You will need to take NY-495 W and then Follow I-95 S and I-195 E to Monmouth Road. Take Exit 16A from I-195 E. Continue on Monmouth Rd. To Great Adventure Blvd and enter Six Flags Great Adventure.

Residing in New York City or its nearby northern suburbs means that the journey to Hershey Park can range from 2 hours and 45 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes from the heart of Times Square. To make the most of your visit to Hershey Park, it is recommended to allocate 10 to 12 hours to explore all the attractions and spend some time at Chocolate World. We suggest staying overnight at one of Hershey Park's Grand Accommodations or nearby lodging, as a full day is needed.


For the fastest route, take NY-495 W and then I-78 W to State Rd 934 S in Fort Indiantown Gap. Exit at 85 from I-81 S, then continue on US-22 W and Sand Beach Road to Chocolate Town Blvd in Hershey.

Living in Dorney Park or the nearby northern suburbs means the trip to Dorney Park can take between 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes from Times Square's center. To fully enjoy your time at Dorney Park, it's advisable to plan for 10 to 12 hours to experience all the attractions and visit Chocolate World. We recommend staying overnight at nearby accommodations, as this drive is close to or exceeds 2 hours and 30 minutes.


For the quickest route, take NY-495 W, then I-78 W to PA-222 N to Hamilton Blvd. in Dorneyville. Use exit 54B from I-78 W, then follow Lincoln Ave to Dorney Park Rd to reach Dorney Park.
