A Great Day at Six Flags Great America!

Hey all!
Today, we're at Six Flags Great America as part of our Midwest theme park road trip! With numerous school groups present, we decided to get the fast pass because of our limited time at the park and a 6-hour drive ahead. We arrived right when the park opened, hoping to ride Max Force, but discovered it was closed for the day. Instead, our first ride was Wrath of Rashaka, the new dive roller coaster introduced last year. This coaster features the steepest drop and the most inversions of any dive coaster. The ride was generally decent but quite rough, which is disappointing as newer dive coasters tend to shake you like a viper. Speaking of which, we then headed to Raging Bull and the Viper. Raging Bull remains one of the best steel hyper coasters with its over 200-foot drop into a tunnel and its twisting layout. Viper... did its job. It's not the best wooden coaster, but it doesn't jostle you too much, which is a definite plus!
We then headed over to a timeless classic and my first rollercoaster to take me upside down as a kid, The Demon! This classic steel looping rollercoaster is one of the oldest in the park, and over the years, much of its theming has returned. I was surprised to see all of the effects working. The downside to this ride is that with its two loops and two corkscrews, it really knocks your head around. So, in my opinion, it wasn't re-rideable. We then moved towards American Eagle, only to find it was closed for the day as well. Our next option was X-Flight. This wing rollercoaster is a fantastic ride and features some great head chopper elements with its inversions. However, running one train operations caused the fast pass line to take an hour, and standby waits were close to 3 hours. So if you're planning to ride this and it's on one train operations, be prepared to wait. Next up was Goliath, their RMC hybrid rollercoaster that features a nice stall element and a dive loop. The ride is very short but sweet. This was running two train operations, so we got on without any problem.
Our last two rides were Batman: The Ride and The Joker. If you've ridden Batman: The Ride at other parks, you've ridden them all. This, however, was the first inverted looping rollercoaster ever built. It's also known for having all of its theming effects still working, unlike other Six Flags parks. Overall, it's a solid inverted rollercoaster. Not very tall, but its five inversions pack a punch. The Joker was the last ride we had time for. This ride is a 4D free spin rollercoaster, where riders sit in cars off the side of the track and flip as the train goes over humps, relying on the weight distribution of the train. I'm not a fan of these rides; however, Quicspecc, my travel companion for this trip, is a big fan of them.
With that, we started to head out of the park to avoid the rush hour ahead. I will say even though we didn't get on American Eagle, Flash Vertical Velocity, Superman Ultimate Flight, and the Dark Knight Rollercoaster, these are great rides as well from what I remember. The park overall is the best Six Flags park in the chain, in my opinion. The theming is pretty good, and they have a solid ride lineup!
