Anaconda Kings Dominion Closes Forever

Anaconda, a steel looping rollercoaster located in the Jungle X-Pedition area of the park, has permanently closed without prior notice. Debuting in 1991 with much of its track over Lake Charles, this ride featured a distinctive underwater tunnel on its initial drop, complete with a water effect, and included four twisted (and uncomfortable) inversions throughout its course. Despite its uniqueness, it was known for being quite rough. It will be interesting to see what will take its place, or if the area will revert to offering scenic views of the lake, with Racer 75 running along the distant shoreline. Only time will tell!
