Hey all!
Today, we're visiting Bon Bon Bon! in Downtown Detroit. This delightful sweet shop is located in Parker's Alley, right next to the Shinola Hotel. It's tucked away in an alley, so be sure to look for the sign. Upon entering, you'll find the shop isn't very large. The walls are decorated with floral pictures and vintage ads, enhanced by flower-patterned wallpaper. There's a display cabinet featuring every type of "Bon" available. Curious about what a Bon is? A bonbon is a small, bite-sized sweet, usually with a molded chocolate exterior filled with soft ingredients like caramel, ganache, fruit puree, or nut paste. It originated in 17th-century France, with the term coming from the repetition of bon ("good"). The modern version is generally hand-painted chocolate creations with various textures and fillings. We decided to get six different Bon Bons, three of which were mine, as I will show in pictures below. The staff were very friendly, and if you want more treats, they have a small display shelf of different chocolate creations. The Bon Bons overall were amazing and very flavorful! If you are ever in Downtown Detroit for a conference, a sports game, a concert, or visiting the Museum, you must stop at Bon Bon Bon! Lets dive into the pictures of the shop and treats below!
