Exploring Islands of Adventure

Hey all!

Today, we're heading to Islands of Adventure, Universal's second park. This destination includes several themed zones like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade, Marvel Super Hero Island, Seuss Landing, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, and the Lost Continent. In the photo report below, we'll attempt to visit as many attractions as possible during our trip. Come along as we discover everything Islands of Adventure has in store!

Welcome to Islands of Adventure!

You heard the Rock Arch!

As you enter, Marvel Super Hero Island is to your left, which is home to the Incredible Hulk Roller coaster. The Amazing Spiderman Dark Ride, and Dr. Dooms Fear Fall.

There is also a Big Lagoon in the middle, which is surrounded by all the different islands! Velocicoaster and the Hogwarts Castle are in the distance.

First, we enter Seuss Landing, themed to the Dr, Seuss Books

This is basically the Kids area of the park.

The land is full of color and references to the Dr. Seuss Stories

Throughout the land, you will notice nothing has a 90 degree angle.

This ride will give you Nausea from the spinning

The High in the Sky Trolley Runs above

Next, we enter the Lost Continent

This area used to house the Dueling Dragon Rollercoaster. The land has shrunk over the years and the last remaining thing to do in the Lost Continent is eat at Mythos,

Its good... I'm not sure if its the best theme park restaurant though

Next... We enter Hogsmeade

The Hogwarts Express allows you to travel from Islands of Adventure to Universal studios, It requires a Park to Park ticket though.

Looking for a good joke? Head to Zonkos!

Honeydukes is another good option if your looking for some treats

Hagrids Magical Motor Bike Adventure gets some very long lines, so if you want to get on this.... You may want to get here at rope drop.

Butterbeer is the signature beverage around these parts!

The Three Broomsticks provides tradition English fare

The land really immerses you.

Do you see any owls up there?

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a great dark ride... however the motion makes some people sick.

If you have a weak stomach, consider going on Flight of the Hippogriff. This is a small family rollercoaster and it is the most mild ride in the land.

We now enter Jurassic Park to get a ride on the Velocicoaster

So Velocicoaster is themed after the new Jurassic World Movies. So there is a bit of a time skip in the land.

90 Degrees of Pure Velociraptor terror!

The Inversions on this ride and the interaction to the surrounding land is unreal

In and out of the Raptor Cage

The River Adventure is the classic water ride in the land. Its the one water ride at Islands of Adventure that you do not get soaked on.

You Just have to get over the T-Rex attack before the drop

If you have a kid, then you can get on a rare rollercoaster credit! The Capacity is horrible though.

We have now entered Toon Lagoon!

Dudley Do Rights Rip Saw Fall will get you comically drenched.

It's one of the best water rides in the world

Throughout the land, you will see easter eggs from famous comics from Yesteryear

Now that is one big Sandwich!

It's quite a Nostalgia Blast

Now were in Marvel Super Hero Island!

The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman is a classic dark ride with 4D effects! It was a game changer when it opened.

Don't let the size fool you, this is a very intense drop tower.

There's a Hulk Smash going on above us!

This has to be one of the most intense rides in Orlando
