Howdy!
This evening, we're dining at the Skipper Canteen. Once seated, we reviewed the menu and quickly made our selections! We started with the Lost and Found Soup, which features a selection of the Chef's Unclaimed Cargo (essentially the Chef's Special soup). This soup included some intriguing ingredients and resembled a vegetable soup. It was quite good, though a bit exotic. Next, we received the "Not So Secret" Menu, from which we chose The Pao De Queijo, featuring gluten-free cheese bread from deep in the Amazon, served with chimichurri cream cheese. The cheese bread was amazing, and we were surprised it's not on the regular menu. For our entree, we had the The "Hardy Har Char" Siu Pork - Char Siu-braised Pork Shank, Scallion Rice, and Sesame Broccolini. This meal was also quite flavorful and had a nice sauce that complemented the Pork Shank. However, we were not fans of the scallion rice, which didn't have much flavor. We loved the atmosphere, and our "Skipper" was a great server. We would return in the future, but if you're a picky eater, the food might not be for you. With that, let's dive into the photos!
