The Cliff Top Restaurant at Anakeesta

Hey all!

Today, we're at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, to enjoy a meal at the Clifftop Restaurant! Situated in the Magical Firefly Village at the summit of Anakeesta, this restaurant boasts large windows offering views of the distant Smoky Mountains. Its old-time rustic charm perfectly matches the scenery. Although our booth didn't provide the best direct view, stepping up allows you to take in stunning panoramic vistas.

We began with a Down South staple: the Fried Green Tomatoes! Accompanied by bacon jam and housemade garlic aioli, they were delicious and not overly fried. The bacon jam complemented the tomatoes wonderfully, and we could have easily made a meal out of them.

For the main course, I chose the Better Than Your Mom's Mac & Cheese, featuring a smoked gouda and cheddar sauce, buttered breadcrumbs, and cavatappi pasta. While the mac and cheese could use a bit more flavor, the cornbread was excellent.

In summary, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit for its views, atmosphere, and especially the outstanding fried green tomatoes. We would happily return!
