Hey all!
Today, we’re checking out The Sidecar Slider Bar. Located right next to Ichiban, this spot can be a little tough to miss unless you’re actively looking for it. Inside, it rocks a lively sports bar vibe, boasts an impressive craft beer selection, and even features an attached golfing simulator. But we came here for the food—so let the review begin!
The Appetizer:
For our starter, we ordered the Garlic Parm Waffle Fries, which come loaded with seasoned waffle fries, garlic parmesan sauce, and fresh shaved parmesan. The
Verdict: Absolutely amazing. It was honestly hard to stop eating them to save room for the main course. The combination of the rich sauce and the fresh shaved parmesan on top was fantastic.
The Sliders:
The menu features some pretty experimental options, so we decided to mix things up. Each slider is a decent size—about the size of the palm of your hand—and incredibly reasonable at under $6 a piece.
Reg’s Picks:
The Caesar Slider: Fried chicken, romaine, tomato, bacon, parmesan, and Caesar dressing.
The PB Jammin’: A unique combo of American cheese, bacon, peanut butter, and jelly.
The Rojo: Bacon, avocado, tomato, lettuce, pepper jack, and chipotle aioli.
Reg loved all of her choices. Even the PB Jammin', with its unexpected flavor profile, ended up being surprisingly delicious!
My Picks:
The 9-1-1 Slider: A blackened patty, pepper jack cheese, a habanero popper, and habanero aioli.
The Smokehouse Slider: An onion ring, jalapeño, pepper jack cheese, and bourbon BBQ sauce.
Mine tasted incredible. I’d go as far as to say these are some of the best sliders I’ve ever had.
Overall Experience:
We absolutely loved the atmosphere here. Every single thing we ordered tasted incredibly fresh and packed a ton of flavor. If you ever find yourself in Sterling Heights, MI, do yourself a favor and check out The Sidecar Slider Bar!
