Yellowcard At Michigan Lottery Amphitheater!
Hey all!
Tonight, we were at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre to catch Yellowcard on tour, along with a stacked supporting lineup featuring New Found Glory and Plain White T's!
Plain White T's opened the night and delivered a surprisingly fantastic set for a first opener—and it was great to finally hear "Hey There Delilah" live. New Found Glory followed up with a solid, high-energy performance, tearing through classics like "My Friends Over You," "All Downhill from Here," and "Hit or Miss." Having enjoyed them in the past, they certainly didn't disappoint.
Then came Yellowcard. I had seen them years ago on Warped Tour, but outside of "Ocean Avenue," I wasn't as familiar with the rest of their discography. Their performance ended up being a really pleasant surprise! I loved the retro video game stage theme, and their setlist hit all the fan favorites including "Only One," "Way Away," "Breathing," and of course, "Ocean Avenue." What makes Yellowcard so impressive live is how seamlessly they blend violin with pop-punk energy—it creates a sound that's completely unique.
Even though we had to brave some rain and even a bit of hail during the show, it was an awesome night of live music. We'd definitely catch them again the next time they're in town!
