Yungblud at Michigan Lottery Amphitheater!
Hey all!
Tonight, we kicked off our outdoor concert season at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre with a sold-out Yungblud show! I wasn't super familiar with his music until recently, but since this was one of his early U.S. headlining tours, we figured it would be fun to check out.
The weather, however, did not cooperate. We had lawn seats on a freezing night with steady rain and drizzle—so yeah, it was pretty miserable out on the lawn!
Return to Dust opened the night with a unique set that got the crowd warmed up. When Yungblud hit the stage, he brought pure, uninhibited rockstar energy—running around, interacting with the crowd, and even smoking on stage during parts of the set. He powered through popular hits like "Zombie," "Lowlife," and "Idols Pt. I," though his setlist was surprisingly short at only around 12 songs.
While his high-octane stage presence was undeniable, the show overall was just okay for us. Whether it was the cold, wet weather putting a damper on the night or his style of music just not entirely clicking with us, Yungblud ended up being a "one and done" concert experience.
